4th
As you know the Fourth of July is fast approaching. So last night I went to church for the annual "Celebrate America" concert. I don't know if this is public knowledge or not...but I'm probably one of the least patriotic people I know. While I'm very appreciative of my freedom and everything I'm just not that huge a fan of this "great nation" of ours. I just don't think it can be a good sign that pretty much everywhere else in the world people are either laughing at us or wanting to kill us (or both). But anyway, that's beside the point...So I'm sitting here at this concert and the cheesy narrator guy gets up and he's like "Now for this next piece we want all of you out there to stand up when you hear the song for your branch of the military". So then they proceed to play/sing the "theme songs" for each branch of the military while guys dressed in the uniforms came out on stage with the flags....And out in the audience all these old people stand up when their song starts...looking all proud and waving their mini American flags. Can I tell you that I was crying like a small child. I was such a mess...Like, I'm talking "My Girl" sort of crying. Like when Veta runs up to Macauly Culkin's coffin saying "Where are his glasses?!? He can't see without his glasses!". That's how hard I was crying. It was really embarassing. Don't tell anyone.

So you don't like the movie but you know the correct spelling of the lead chick's name? Hmmm...I get it.
And she was not better off. Thomas J was her first true love. If he had still been around maybe we wouldn't have had to suffer through My Girl2. You never know.
